Equanimity Counselling

My counselling practice is on the unceded traditional territories of the Lkwungen (Lekwungen) peoples and the Songhees, Esquimaltand WSÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. Only recently have these lands become known as Vancouver Island & Canada, and the colonial process by which this has occurred has permanently ruptured Indigenous traditions, families and livelihoods. We reside here as uninvited guests and recognize that it is a privilege to be able to live here as we do now and I am committed to my ongoing education to decolonize my thinking and strive to understand ways to be a better ally in the path of Truth and Reconciliation.
